Frankincense Dalzielii Absolute

It contains both the essential oils and the aromatic resin. it has a broader fragrance profile than the essential oil alone and also contains all the resin acids of this Frankincense including all the Boswellic acids. This is noteworthy since the latest research has found that Frankincense Dalzielii from Nigeria contains the highest amount of Boswellic acids yet found in any Frankincense type.
It is produced using food-grade alcohol alone. No harsh chemical solvents were used in the extraction process.

Using only pure alcohol, fresh Frankincense Dalzielii is powdered and immersed in 95% ethanol. It is allowed to macerate at a controlled temperature and stirred daily for a minimum of 8 weeks before it is filtered to separate the odourless water-soluble gum compounds.

The filtered liquid is evaporated gently at room temperature to remove excess alcohol creating a thick aromatic liquid that dissolves readily in alcohol and carrier oils.
Due to its solubility in carrier oils, it makes an ideal ingredient in oil-based and solid perfumes while delivering therapeutic Boswellic acids to medicated oils, salves and cremes.

Frankincense Dalzielii has a sensuous, sweet, citrus, and Amber scent highlighted by notes of mint and camphor.

It acts as a fixative and heart-note in perfume compositions anchoring more fleeting and volatile scents and is useful in incense-making as a binder and an aromatic ingredient since it burns clean and sweet.
