Madagascar Elemi Hydrosol

After the distillation of aromatic materials is performed, the essential oil is collected from the distillate and we are left with a richly fragrant distilled "water" which can be used as a refreshing body spray, a base for cremes, lotions, and many other aromatic/therapeutic products. This is called a Hydrosol or Hydrolat.

Madagascar Elemy Hydrosol has the lovely musky, fruity, lemony, amber aroma of the fresh Madagascar Elemi resin.

It is packaged sterile in bottles with screw-on caps. Once opened refrigerate any unused hydrosol since no preserving agents have been added.

Madagascar Elemi is a rare type of Elemi found on the Island of Madagascar off the Coast of East Africa. It has a richer, more complex scent than the Philipines Elemi we find in mainstream aromatherapy and is used locally for incense and skincare.

Please note: There may be droplets of essential oil in the hydrosol. Make sure to keep it away from eyes and mucous membranes.
This product can be diluted with water for many applications while retaining its aromatic and therapeutic qualities.
