(Currently Sold Out)-White Ambergris-Ethereal is the best word to use here. The white is a very old piece, and its aroma is subtle and classic. This piece is about as refined as Ambergris can get. I know many customers prefer this type and have been waiting for white Ambergris in the shop, and now is your opportunity.
Gold Ambergris-Valentines Day 2024-This batch of Gold Ambergris has the typical brown striations and those lovely soft animalic and musk notes that I adore. It has a deep, warm, rich, and intense aroma with light marine notes.
Grey Ambergris- (Currently Sold Out)-The Grey has a bold, dry marine aroma, dry tobacco & tea notes, a slight, sweet herbaceousness and a lovely, soft animal musk woven through it. It will make a stellar tincture.
Ambergris
Ambergris is one of those classic mystical ingredients that we find revered and referred to in many ancient texts and cultures.
I use my Ambergris oils directly on the skin or beard and reserve tinctures for perfume and incense blends.
An alcoholic tincture brings out notes different from oil extraction and highlights the tobacco and marine notes present in the material.
An oil infusion creates a product with a different fragrance profile. It makes my heart skip every time. It is often softer, sweeter, more animalic and muskier.
Excreted or regurgitated by the Sperm whale (depends whom you ask), Ambergris is thought to form in the digestive tract as a response to the irritation of residual squid beaks which the whale cannot digest. With the aid of a compound produced in the whale's bile duct, a waxy substance coats the irritants and builds up in layers over the years. These layers are one of the indicators of real Ambergris. (Many materials that look similar to ambergris are regularly found on oceanic beaches worldwide).
Once Ambergris exits the whale, it can float on the ocean for years and lie undiscovered on a beach for decades.
Ambergris has been used as medicine and in food, and of course, it has been a key ingredient in the creation of perfume and incense for thousands of years.
Like other natural animalic fragrance compounds, the magic and power of Ambergris do not lie in the strength of its aroma.
Ambergris does not have an intense fragrance and does not transform a perfume by simply adding its aroma to the blend. Instead, it operates in a less obvious and overt manner, rounding out or pulling together a bouquet, adding depth, tenacity, dimension and projection to a composition by means of a mechanism that is not well understood.
Ambergris is most often used in an alcohol tincture at a very low 1% to 3%.
Typically, a tincture of Ambergris will be left to macerate at least 6 months before it is considered ready to filter and use.
To a great degree, all animalics work on the principle of more is less.
At 1%, 1 gram of Ambergris yields 100 grams, or over 100 Milliliters of tincture.

Assessing if you are buying authentic ambergris is always stressful. So many doubtful sources out there. I never have second thoughts about buying from Dan. You know its real because he has the knowledge to assess it and the values to only sell what is authentic. The best time to start your ambergris tinctures and macerations is yesterday. The longer the extractions sit the better is their fragrance. While the white ambergris has its place as an oceanic breeze, this gold ambergris has its place among sensuous and sultry compositions redolent of jasmine, champaca and other musky compositions. I find that only with time, do you come to realize, how profoundly ambergris exalts a fragrant creation. Start your extraction today!

Por fin llego y aunque tardo 3 semanas en llegar a México la espera ha valido la pena, este Ámbar gris de Calidad GRAY es bellísimo, esta calidad de ámbar me parece que tiene aspectos de animalicos pero también tiene esa característica salada y marina como cuando te estas acercando a una playa o la costa y el olor del mar es perceptible.
Dan y su Equipo fueron muy generosos y me brindaron mas de la que compre y tan solo quiero agradecerles de corazón tan bello gesto que tuvieron hacia mi.

It finally arrived and although it took 3 weeks to arrive in Mexico, the wait has been worth it, this GRAY Quality Ambergris is beautiful, this quality of amber seems to me to have animalistic aspects but it also has that salty and marine characteristic like when you You are approaching a beach or the coast and the smell of the sea is perceptible.
Dan and his Team were very generous and gave me more than what I bought and I just want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for the beautiful gesture they had towards me.

I ordered some of the white Ambergris. Very Subtle very different from the golden Ambergris I recieve earlier. Not fecal or overpowering. Very light and nuanced. Really like it but I like all that I have purchased from here. Came to me in a quick and timely fashion and well packaged. Every thing above board and Fantastic!
