“Taluka”-Bone candle scribe and incense spoon-2007

"Taluka" Antler incense spoon and candle scribe 2007

“Taluka”-Bone candle scribe and incense spoon-2007. Named after a California Condor, a vulture I met and was fascinated by many years ago. I love the elegant, bold contours and functionality of this piece. There is a dynamic triad at work visually, which draws me in to keep rotating and examining it from each possible angle, endlessly. One of those hypnotizing designs. I made numerous “editions” of it in bone, antler and Ebony. Each as mesmerizing to me as the first.
