Everything Frankincense-Boswellia Spp.

Valued for its medicinal and aromatic qualities, our Western relationship with Frankincense goes back at least 6000 years.

Recent studies show anti-inflammatory cancer-fighting, skin toning and a myriad of other therapeutic compounds found in Frankincense. Most of these therapeutic actions can be attributed to the resin acids found in the resin portion of Frankincense. Specifically the Boswellic scids

Astrologically, Frankincense is ruled by the sun.

In this collection, you will find 11 different types of Frankincense, along with their fresh resins, essential oils, oil extracts, powders, absolutes and products made from them. 11 different Frankincense types!!! If you find the broad selection makes it difficult to choose between the different types, head over to my post-A guide to the different types of Frankincense.
You will have to cut and paste the following-https://apothecarysgarden.com/2022/01/03/a-beginners-guide-to-the-different-types-of-frankincense/

There is a lot of confusion around whether all Frankincense resin is sustainably harvested and whether all the trees are at risk or endangered. To clarify things a bit, let me say that each species of Frankincense has its own unique situation and story. Some are thriving, and some are stressed and suffer from reduced wild populations. In general, they all require our attention. In the descriptions of each type you will find more information.
If you would like to explore the most sustainable resins and the least at-risk tree populations please visit my “Sustainable” Collection in the shop. I’m proud to say it is a collection that is constantly growing.
