Frankincense Neglecta essential oil is distilled in Ethiopia by a friend and master distiller in small batches. It is an unusual and rare Ethiopian Frankincense, little known, and rarely available in our North American market.
Frankincense Neglecta possesses the traditional and unmistakeable “core” fragrance of the Frankincense family that we are all familiar with, but brings with it a surprising soft sweet note that reminds one of the delicate facets of Frasier Fir or Black Spruce essential oils. Both the resin and essential oil are thought to alleviate anxiety, heaviness and tightness of the chest when used externally.
B.Neglecta has traditionally been used for many of the same applications as other types of Frankincense, topically for wound healing and respiratory complaints, and as most other members of its family, it has been used for centuries in ceremony, ritual, and to consecrate sacred spaces. Both the resin and essential oil are valued fragrance ingredients.
Ruled by the Sun, as all its kin, the essential oil of Frankincense Neglecta adds a special touch to masculine fragrances with its sweet woodiness, rounded out with a soft balsamic Vanilla like note. “A wonderful representation of the resin, especially where scent is concerned, in essential oil form.
