This is a soothing, skin-loving Oil/extract of Boswellia Sacra-Royal green Hojari which is considered the premiere Frankincense of Oman.
In studies, Boswellia Sacra is among 5 types of Frankincense that contain the Boswellic acids.
This oil is used in traditional Unani, Iranian and Ayurvedic medicine.
It can also be used as a base for a rejuvenating skin creme when blended with distilled water and emulsifying wax as per standard formulas or used neat on the skin as a massage oil.
Recent research is confirming the effectiveness of Boswellic acids for treating a wide range of conditions. It is the resin portion of the different types of Frankincense that contain the Boswellic acids, NOT the essential oils as popularly thought. The essential oils of Frankincense do NOT contain Boswellic acids except in trace amounts. The Boswellic acids can be accessed by using the fresh powder or dissolving the whole oleoresin in warm oil, alcohol or other solvents.
This is a light green and sweetly fragrant oil that embodies the natural healing compounds and benefits of Boswellia. It is made of fresh Omani Royal Green Hojari and Fractionated Coconut oil. It is processed gently in a warm water bath for a few hours to capture the fragrance and resin-based compounds. After the water bath, it is left to sit and stirred daily for approximately a month and a half to draw out as many of the soluble compounds as possible. No harsh solvents are used in the process.
