It helps create the friction that produces sound from the strings of violins, cellos, and other stringed instruments. It is used to enhance the grip of wrestlers, gymnasts, baseball pitchers, and dancers. Rosin is used in the production of adhesives, paints, and surface coatings and many more useful items. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRosin dissolves in alcohol and essential oils (Think Turpentine), as well as in warm vegetable carrier oils. For this reason, it is frequently used in the modern Artisanal production of BeesWax wraps.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRosin is an excellent base for making moustache waxes and other grooming products, as it provides body, tack (stickiness), and a perming effect on facial hair.
