Formosa Storax. Honey-Amber aroma with floral and fruity notes

Formosa Storax blends easily in warm oils and waxes for preparing solid perfumes, balms, and salves.
It can be used as-is for incense and as a binder when preparing incense pastilles.
Formosa Storax is raw and unprocessed! For this reason, you will notice bits of bark and debris in it.

When making a tincture or an oil extract of this material, you can clean it by filtering it warm through a metal mesh coffee filter.

Formosa Storax has a lovely honey-amber aroma with fruity, floral notes that are not present in Black Storax, giving it extra depth and vibrancy. Like its cousin Liquidambar orientalis, Black Storax, it has an amber type aroma that is Balsamic, warm, sweet and spicy. It is both comforting and inspiring, warm and inviting.

In some spheres, it is thought that Storax-Liquidambar is the Stacte or "Nataf" of the Old Testament and one of the ingredients in the Holy Temple incense-Ketoreth
We package our Formosa Storax in a bag inside the pouch. If you have difficulty removing it from the bag, place it in the fridge or freezer for a half hour.

You can place a large pea-sized piece of Formosa Storax on the electric burner (Make sure to use a piece of aluminum foil or a cupcake liner) and enjoy its aroma throughout the day as you periodically raise the temperature to release different notes from the material.

Formosa Storax resin dissolves easily in warm oils and waxes, making it ideal for preparing solid perfumes, balms, salves and more. It also dissolves in alcohol and can be used to prepare perfume tinctures, incense papers or as a dip for blank incense sticks.
