First time ever getting labdanum, but it's quickly become one of my favorites. I got the traditional harvest, which shouldn't make too much of a difference (tbh mostly got it for the tin for ease of storage lol). It smells very potently musky and woody with a slightly sweet (almost bubblegummy?) top note. Mixes well with nearly everything I've tried so far as an amplifier.
Very very interesting product. As described, has no smell naturally until heated. The scent is very deep. It's woody, tobacco-esque, and honestly quite similar in a way to rooibos tea. The color is extremely deep and I understand why this was used as a dye/ink. Lower heat is better, high heat produces a firework-esque smell.
Does not smell like any "Dragon's Blood" pre-made incense I've ever used, and also doesn't trigger my asthma lol. This is a deep complex scent, whereas most storebought dragon's blood incense is sweet and pretty simple.

I ordered the traditional harvest labdanum, this resin smells like a Mediterranean heaven garden. Diluted in ethanol, you will find very minimal plant residue. Very aromatic and potent scent, which I intend to use for an amber accord but this is exquisite by itself!
