It has a haunting, rich fragrance with a soft candy-like sweetness reminiscent of its distant cousin Palo Santo, (Bursera Graveolens). With a deep amber heart and a light, sweet spiciness, it is my go-to Frank in many of my blends and is a beautiful resin on the coal.

Like all others in its family this resin is ruled Astrologically by the Sun. Thus it is considered warming and strengthening to the heart and mind, grounding, cleansing and spiritually uplifting.

Boswellia Rivae has been used traditionally as an incense to cleanse the home, sanctify ceremonies and sacred spaces. Both the essential oil and oleoresin of Frankincense Rivae are ingredients in traditional Bakhoor incense mixes across the region.

The scent of Frankincense Rivae, though unmistakably that of Frankincense, stands out with a smooth complexity. It is one of the most vibrant Frankincense types I have come across. It lends itself beautifully to natural incense work and can be used in various cremes, salves and oils.

Interesting and Earthy

This is definitely unique and stands apart from the rest of my order. It has a much stronger, earthier character with a fresh, woody and spicy aroma compared to the sweeter Sacra or Hojari. It's not what I expected but I appreciate its bold, complex scent profile. Keeping this in my collection.

Quick dissolver

This particular frankincense so quickly & readily integrates into my almond oil in an “emergency”. I bought an ounce some years back but it goes a long way.

I have autoimmune arthritis and I can feel the difference. Even though some medical practitioners talk it down, the synergy between this + myrrh is effective for me and Dan finds amazing medicines

Beautiful Scent

This Frankincense is great it has a sweet scent that has some elements of earth to it. The products sold by Dan are top quality. He also gave me extra sample of another product to try very generous of Dan he is a classy businessman.

I’m obsessed with my frankincense! I smell it everyday throughout the day! I’m currently soaking it in castor oil and jojoba oil to use in my skincare. I can’t wait! And it arrived sooner than anticipated :)
