Propolis makes a beautiful and intensely fragrant addition to perfume and incense formulas. A little goes a long way. This is similar to the beautiful black "Boozy" smelling Propolis that I had a few years ago which many customers have requested.
very interesting smell, have no idea what to do with it but I will figure it out
This is probably better for use in perfumery. I was curious and am not a perfumer so I was merely trying it on my electric incense burner. Maybe it’d be better in combo with other resins. On its own I’d say it smells, unburned like olive tapenade and then when burned I’m not sure how to describe it...but my wife hated it haha!
I’m still fairly new to using natural incense and perfume materials so it was great getting to experience that animalic type scent that I had previously only read about. Wonderful experience with this material and definitely recommend
This is a very special musky, sweet animal propolis. You can smell the work the bees have put into this and it was a lot stronger than other propolis i have tried.soft clay texture so is perfect of mixing into incense or tincturing. Well recommended as a little goes a long way.
I ordered on May 13 and finally received my order on July 8. At first I thought that my package had been lost and that I would not receive it. I then asked Dan if he could reimburse me and he said yes. I really appreciate this gesture. Thank you Dan and also Faye for your impeccable customer service. As for propolis from Ontario, I really like it, it is very fragrant and we can see that it is of good quality as well as all the products that I bought.Chantal:)
Wow what a great scent...reminds me of bees wax absolute but with a stronger smokey sweet some what animalistic note.
top notch...looking forward to tincturing this!
Beautiful smelling Pure Propolis! I can't decide if I want to burn it or tincture it!
This is the best purchase I have ever made in the name of perfume ingredients in my entire life. Reminiscent of Castoreum that I bought also from ApothecarysGarden, but less dominant , still distinctively animalic: The best alternative to the Castoreum for summer perfumes with a hint of leathery beeswax at the beginning and with a tonality of blue cypress breezes in drydown. I grinded and mascerated it into ethanol with a 1 to 5 ratio and waiting that the tincture to brew for one month. 👌. Thank you Dan🙏, thank you the entire ApothecarysGarden Team👏👏👏
This is my second purchase of this divine propolis
