Frankincense Papyrifera Oleo Extract is a fragrant, soothing, skin & joint-loving oil or Oleo extract of Fresh Frankincense Papyrifera from the Tigray area in northern Ethiopia.
Frankincense papyrifera is thought to be the only Frankincense with the compounds-Incensole and incensole acetate. Studies have shown these compounds can affect our mood and are thought to elicit feelings of heightened spiruality and well-being.
Frankincense papyrifera is one of 6 Frankincense types that contain the therapeutic Boswellic acids. These types of Frankincense are traditionally used to address a long list of health conditions.
Frankincense Papyrifera Oleo Extract can be used as a base for a rejuvenating skin creme when blended with distilled water and emulsifying wax as per standard formulas or used neat on the skin as a massage oil.
Recent research is confirming the therapeutic effectiveness of Boswellic acids which are found in the resin portion of the different types of Frankincense, and NOT the essential oils as popularly thought. The essential oils of Frankincense do NOT contain Boswellic acids except in trace amounts. The Boswellic acids can be accessed by using the fresh powder or dissolving the whole oleoresin in warm oil, alcohol or other solvents.
Frankincense Papyrifera Oleo Extract is a golden, sweet fragrant oil made with fresh Frankincense Papyrifera resin and Fractionated Coconut oil. The resin is powdered and warmed gently in a water bath with the oil for a few hours to dissolve the resin portion. After the water bath, it is left to sit, and stirred daily for approximately a month and a half before it is filtered and bottled.

Frankincense Papyrifera Oleo Extract is produced "Astrodynamically," which is a method of preparation I use based on the tenets of traditional plant Alchemy and medicinal astrology. Experience has shown that products made this way distinguish themselves with improved colour, aroma, shelf life and efficacy.
