Ivy Resin

Ivy resin has a beautiful, intense, complex and rich Green aroma. Even though it is bitter and slightly acrid, it possesses soft sweet caramel-confection notes and lovely light florals hovering in the wings.

It has a delightful and enchanting aroma raw, in a perfume tincture and when burned on the coal.

Ivy resin is a very unusual and rarely found aromatic resin that can provide perfumers and incense makers with an excellent natural "Green" note.

Ivy incense resin. This aromatic resin was collected from Hedera canariensis Ivy vines of North Africa.

Please note that all fresh parts of all plants in the Ivy family contain toxins that can cause contact dermatitis.

Though I have heard of no one reacting to contact with this resin, it is always best to proceed cautiously.

Somewhere, someone will react to every natural product and material.
Please consider this information and treat this material with caution and respect.

Packaged in a reusable metal tin that will keep your resin treasure fresh and aromatic for an extended period.

The Ive vine is an ancient symbol often banned from use by the church due to its extensive use by pagan cultures.

Ivy is dedicated to the Gods Osiris, Bacchus and Dionysus.

Ivy is a symbol of fidelity, devotion, commitment, longevity and tenacity.

Ivy resin, Hedera canariensis, grows natively in North Africa through Turkey and Iran.

We had to process this resin extensively before packaging it by freezing, crushing, sifting and manually separating the abundance of tiny pieces of plastic bag that were mixed into the resin. (At room temperature, this material is extremely sticky!!)

These bits of bags indicate to me, that the Ivy resin is collected in very small amounts by multiple collectors and it is not commercially grown or harvested.

I don't know if I will be able to get more of this unique material so get it while you can.

It may be difficult to remove your Ivy resin from the plastic wrapper. My workaround is to place the bag in the fridge or freezer for 15-30 minutes before attempting to separate it from its package. After chilling, it will detach with ease and without leaving any material stuck to the wrapper.

Dan

Fascinating! It's almost more of an experience than a smell, with a very strong, almost banana-pepper ending. Not sure if I have the finesse to use it yet, but glad I picked it up.

A very unique "green" scent that's hard to describe. It's hard to imagine this not being an extremely polarizing material, but I think it's very interesting. Pitchy and acrid green that's not herbal, earthy-sweet but not quite, and just a hint of something trampling a bed of ivy. I could see someone creating a very unique composition with this.

Just as Dan described. I love it. I've also got Dan's Elemi, Galbanum, Asafoetida so this was an awesome add. I've currently some Ivy in a violet mimosa basil fragrance that I'm making. Ivy is giving my magical creation the much needed “it” I was missing. I also love the little tin the Ivy is in. Strong. Powerful. But does not steal the show. Beautiful!

hey, Dan
i have to say this in a little detail because for me, you need everyone to know what lvy resin is
the smell until today I am trying to find you the right word but it is impossible for me!!
but I'm gonna try to put what I feel
first when I smelled it, immediately she becomes friends with my soul!!
it has spicy smells, sweet, animal, exotic but it has another smell I can't decipher, so I'll call it the universe in colors!!!
i am sure what the perfume I do with this divine resin gave away from mother nature, will make an icon perfume, unique, with an ever-found scent!!!
everyone who reads this, must be given the opportunity to buy it because it is worth it, do not look at the price because honestly there is no value that this wonder gift from mother nature can buy
this is a bomb!!!
thank you Dan, keep offering quality!!!
