Tealight Incense Heaters are geat for enjoying the aroma of resins and Bakhour without the heavy smoke and charred scent of burning incense on coals.
Where charcoals burn hot, generate a lot of smoke and consume incense quickly, incense heaters can often deliver hours of aromatic experience that is all fragrance and not all smoke.
Tealight Incense Heaters are solidly constructed from steel and copper, these burners are easy on the eye, stable and work well.
This is my new go-to burner in the house.
To keep the burning tray clean, I cut out a 2-inch round or square from aluminum foil and press it into the heating tray to form a little bowl holding hot liquid resins within it. Be mindful that the tray is boiling when the heater is on, and do not press the foil into the tray with your fingers when it is hot! Wait till the burner has completely cooled before moving or replacing the foil.
Precut foil squares, rounds and cups are available on Amazon and eBay.
Some important notes on using Tealight Incense Heaters are great for enjoying the aroma of resins and Bakhour without the heavy smoke and charred scent of burning incense on coals.-
-Resins containing water-soluble gum, such as Myrrh, Scented Myrrh and most Frankincense, must be coarsely crushed before burning.
-Always use the cork base. The unit gets very HOT and may damage whatever it is sitting on.
-Do not touch the tray or the stand while the burner is lit. They get very hot very quickly and can burn your fingers. Wait till the unit has cooled down before repositioning it.
-Some tealight candles work better than others. Slightly taller tea lights are best. If you find your resin isn't burning properly, either replace the tealight or place a thick coin under the tealight. Beeswax candles work well but are expensive.
-Periodically scrub the bottom of the copper tray with warm water and soap to remove the lampblack residue that accumulates. It can eventually insulate the tray and reduce effectiveness.
-Always keep Tealight Incense Heaters away from curtains, cats, kids and other flammable materials!
-Do not leave burners with lit candles unattended.
Enjoy!!
