I’ve tried this resin on the electric burner at different temperatures and wow! As described! I need to get some charcoals from Dan soon (can’t bring the burner everywhere!) 😎
I’ve also been reading extensively through the blog and today I decided to do a little experiment of my own by blending some olive oil with Manila Elemi…then I added the Black Copal and was amazed by the fragrance of this combination. I didn’t measure the resin amount because I wanted to see how they dissolve, I’ll be getting the proper measuring tools and the rest of the materials soon!
I also have to add that while doing this, a few bees came into the house and were very curious about the fragrance the oil was letting out… that says a lot!

Unique and Beautiful Resin
You wouldn't know this is frankincense at first whiff. The olibanum heart is definitely there; but on top of that is a lovely dance of spiciness, hints of cinnamon and sandalwood and a subtle kind of dry sweetness. If you smell this while looking at pictures of the most exotic landscapes of Socrota it is a perfect match, a slice of aromatic heaven. I suspect that it has a fair amount of cinnamic alcohol, which to my nose is one of the most divine aromas out there, especially in its natural form.
But the really amazing thing is that this store is completely loaded with materials of this calibre, uniqueness and rarity. If you seek inspiration in aromatic arts or really in any endeavor you should buy freely from this store. Just stay away from this material because I want to hoard it all for myself! In all truth if you have any hesitation, you should just pull the trigger and buy this one while it's still around. I promise that you will treasure it!
